Deborah and Veronica or Vero are age mates. Deborah is a Muchaaga and Veronica is a Sukuma. They both graduated in IT from Dar-es Salaam University, Tanzania in 2005. They acquired jobs at the same level with the same salary scale at a top telecom company in Arusha; they both stay in the same location in Arusha town. Indeed Deborah and Veronica share many things in common.
However since she acquired employment Vero has acquired an acre of land, she has built a house for herself, she has wedded in church, she is pursuing a second degree and she is well known in her community for her charitable services. Deborah has done none of all these and has no record of achievement whatsoever. She is concerned.
There are serious arguments as to why Deborah cannot achieve as much as Veronica in the same environment. In this article we show that the true driver for Deborah to attain as much as Vero is her mind. What Deborah tells her mind is what it relies on to feed all her body systems be it negative or positive. Success is feeding your mind with only positivity; it will sweetly reverberate. A lot has been said and written on the subject of success including hundreds of inspirational and motivational quotes. However, few have provided practical steps that can guarantee success in your life.
Today we focus on four steps that can expedite Deborah’s journey of abundant success. In order to achieve success, she must firmly believe that she is an excellent person who deserves success. Well said, but how does she create her image of excellence and begin to establish an atmosphere of success in her life?
The first thing is to imagine herself successful. She should always picture herself successful (even if she may be facing failures of any kind). She must visualize the person she desires to become and see herself becoming this person. She must talk to herself the right way and believe she is the person for the opportunity.
Deborah should take up one idea. Make that one idea her life:–she should think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. She should let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of her body, be full of that idea. She should ignore all the other ideas. This is the way to success.
We become what we think about most of the time, and that’s the strangest secret. Deborah should know that success is a state of mind. If she wants success, she should start thinking of herself as a success. There is no chance, no destiny, no fate, that can hinder or control the firm resolve of a determined soul. If Deborah focuses on the risks, they’ll multiply in her mind and eventually paralyze her.
The second step is for Deborah to reflect in her past successes. Every success, be it small or large is proof that you are capable of achieving more success. Deborah should celebrate each success. She can recall it when she begins to lose faith in herself. She should stop putting herself down for what she did or who she is. Success is all about what she can do and who she can be.
If a door closes, it doesn’t mean it’s going to be the final door. She should stay in faith and don’t give up on life after one bad break. She should do what she believes God leads her to do and trust God to do the rest. When she does what she can do, God will do what she can’t do.
